We are looking for a talented Product Manager to take charge of one of the most critical areas of our product — its GEO.

You will work in an international environment, engaging with local teams and leading a cross-functional team to achieve significant business results, directly influencing the company’s key performance metrics and driving success across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Your work will directly impact the quality of in-app map experiences and ensure users access accurate, up-to-date geographic information
  • This position is for a self-driven, strategic thinker who values both the technical and practical aspects of map data management
  • You’ll have the chance to develop a product vision, solve complex map-related challenges, and ensure data integrity for one of the world’s most widely used ride-hailing apps
  • Own Map Data Quality and Consistency: Take responsibility for the accuracy and freshness of map data, overseeing the ingestion of multiple data sources (crowdsourced, proprietary, and open-source). Ensure data is clean, consistent, and available in real time
  • Lead Map Matching & Indexing: Develop and enhance algorithms to accurately map GPS data onto road networks. Make map data easily queryable and accessible for downstream use cases across customer experience and metrics
  • Optimize Base Map Data Management: Manage core map data storage and representation, ensuring efficient querying and low-latency responses for routing, geocoding, and front-end applications. Facilitate timely updates for other internal services
  • Manage Map Tile Generation & Rendering: Oversee map tile production and caching, ensuring smooth rendering for front-end applications. Integrate additional layers (e.g., traffic, satellite) and maintain a high-performance map experience for users
  • Deliver Operational Insights through Map Analytics: Use WebGIS and other tools to create dashboards and provide insights into map performance. Produce actionable metrics to assess map data coverage and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years as a Product Manager, ideally within map data, GIS, or location-based services, but not limited to
  • Technical Understanding of Map Data: Familiarity with map data ingestion, curation, and rendering technologies. Experience with map data sources (e.g., OSM, WebGIS) and algorithms for data matching, indexing, and querying
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to measure map data quality, performance, and usability. Proficiency with analytics tools to generate insights, evaluate map coverage, and continuously improve map quality
  • Problem-Solving and Strategic Vision: Ability to identify long-term solutions for data ingestion, storage, and rendering challenges. Experience with prioritizing tasks based on impact and navigating technical trade-offs
  • Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and operations teams. Experience in managing relationships with external data providers and collaborating with teams for seamless data integration
  • User-Centric Approach: Focus on delivering map features that enhance user experience, meet real-time data needs, and support the quality of location-based services.
