About incident.io
incident.io is the leading all-in-one platform for incident management. From small bugs to major outages, incident.io helps teams respond fast, reduce downtime, and improve every time something goes wrong.
Since launching in 2021, we’ve helped 800 companies—including Netflix, Airbnb and Block—resolve over 250,000 incidents. Every month, more than 30,000 responders across Engineering, Product and Support use incident.io to fix things faster.
We’re a small team that cares deeply about pragmatism, quality, magic, and pace. We've raised $100M from Index Ventures, Insight Partners and Point Nine, alongside many angel investors who are founders and executives of world-class companies.
The Team
The People Team sits at the heart of the company, helping to power day-to-day operations, while simultaneously enabling other incidentios to do their best work. The team pride themselves on being cultural-drivers, whether that’s through creating small moments of magic, or delivering carefully curated, high-impact people-initiatives. We’re deeply pragmatic, allergic to fluff, and generally run through walls to make things happen.
As we continue to expand our US presence, we’re looking to add a San Francisco based People & Office Specialist to our small team of two, to help us scale internationally. This will be a true hybrid role, spanning across both People Ops and Workplace Coordination - you can expect to be switching between strategic people partnering to being an operational driving force.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys the variety offered by a hybrid-role; you’ll thrive if you love wearing many hats, find joy in both the big wins and the behind-the-scenes details, along with a desire to continually make things better each day.
This is a high-impact, high-trust position, reporting to our People Ops Lead and working closely with teams in both SF and London. The role is based in our San Francisco office and requires a least 4 days a week in person.
What you’ll be doing:
-
People Ops responsibilities:
Own end-to-end onboarding for US new joiners, including pre-boarding and scheduling of induction programmes
Handle employee relations cases, with support from the People Ops Lead as needed
Drive employee experience initiatives to ensure strong employee engagement
Act as our US employment law expert, specifically focused on CA regulations (with support from Legal as needed)
Coordinate and act as our US Benefit expert, handling employee questions and renewals (with support from our People Ops Lead)
Support on broader People-related team projects as needed
-
Workplace Coordination responsibilities:
Lead on all aspects of our Workplace Experience, including office moves, fit-outs, and the day-to-day running of office
Own facilities management, ensuring smoothly run operations by liaising with suppliers, vendors and building managers.
Act as the SF cultural ambassador; foster inclusion, team rituals and general sense of community and belonging
Plan and execute events, with the support of our UK Office & People Coordinator, including offsite planning, holiday parties, and other relevant employee events.
Support our Talent Partners and Hiring Managers by acting as the first point of contact for candidates, conducting office tours and introducing candidates to team members
Act as the first point of contact for all other visitors/vendors/customers
Collaborate closely with our UK Office & People Coordinator to ensure strong global alignment
What you need to be successful:
Experience in hybrid People/Workplace roles at scaling tech companies, preferably within dual-headquarter structures (big bonus if this is US/UK)
Comfortable navigating US, and in particular Californian, employment law, with hands-on experience advising and managing employee relation cases
Ability to handle smooth onboarding journeys, while driving process improvements and general employee experience initiatives that have lasting impact
Confident in leading office moves/fit-outs, through from planning to execution
An aptitude for planning and organising employee events such as offsites, holiday parties, socials etc.
-
Technologically astute;
Comfortable using G-suite, in particular solid knowledge of formulas and pivot tables in G-sheets
Familiarity with People-focused software; experience using Justworks, Hibob and Lattice will be particularly helpful
What we offer:
We’re building a place where great people can do their best work—and that means looking after you and your family with benefits that support health and personal growth.
Market leading private medical insurance
Generous parental leave
First Friday of the month off
Generous annual leave/PTO allowance
Competitive salary and equity
Remote working and personal development budget
Enhanced pension/401k
Compensation Range: $115K - $160K
