About the role

As a Full-Stack Engineer at HoneyHive, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how companies build and deploy Generative AI applications. Our end-users are sophisticated AI engineers at high-growth companies – and you'll be building the infrastructure they rely on daily.

We’re a small team, which means you'll have tremendous impact and ownership. You'll work directly with our founders/customers and have the freedom to explore your own ideas.

In this role, you will

• Work on our core product and own new feature development end-to-end across our frontend and backend stacks. Here’re examples of features you can expect to ship in this role.

• Own and evolve our SDKs across Python and TypeScript, focusing on performance, reliability, and developer experience. You'll ship new integrations with leading agent orchestration frameworks and model providers using OpenTelemetry.

• Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and translate them into robust, well-designed features.

• Shape our technical foundation – contribute to architectural decisions, tech stack choices, and engineering best practices as we scale the team.

• Collaborate closely with the founders to shape our product roadmap and represent HoneyHive at various industry events and hackathons.

Our stack

We use React, Express, and NextJS for web development, AWS for all our cloud needs, and are building SDKs in Typescript and Python using OpenTelemetry (OTEL).

About you

We think you'd be a great fit if you have:

• 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus and proven track record of shipping production systems.

• Deep expertise in backend development – API design, database optimization, distributed systems, and handling high-volume data processing.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for backend services and SDK development.

• Solid frontend skills with React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies. Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js) is a plus.

• Experience with observability tools – OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, or APM systems.

• Systems thinking – you understand how to build scalable, maintainable software and can make thoughtful technical tradeoffs.

What sets great candidates apart:

• Previous experience at early-stage startups or building developer tools/infrastructure products.

• Experience with data-heavy applications (analytics platforms, monitoring tools, developer tools).

• Familiarity with AI engineering concepts like prompt engineering, RAG, evaluations, or LLM observability.

• Experience with Python ecosystem and building SDKs or libraries.
