The role of the Senior Security Engineer is focused on proactively securing our cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure organizational resilience. You will function as a force multiplier by enabling our stakeholders across the group to securely build and maintain the travel tech of tomorrow.
The role also plays a central part in handling security incidents, enabling us to rapidly respond to, contain and remediate from cyber attacks.
How you’ll add value
- Drive the secure adoption and implementation of AI by developing and supporting on necessary guardrails and guidelines.
- Lead our cloud vulnerability management program and improve our security posture with group-wide impact.
- Lead the end-to-end handling of security incidents, ensuring rapid response, containment, and effective remediation to minimize business impact.
- Shape the future of our security by collaborating closely with leadership to define, champion, and execute key initiatives on the Cyber Security strategy and roadmap.
- Elevate the security expertise of the entire organization by consulting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You’ll be successful in this role if you
- Bring a strong track record of 5+ years of experience in dedicated cyber security roles.
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with securing cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with incident response, preferably as incident handler.
- Possess deep technical expertise across core cyber security domains, including Network Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Are proficient at scripting in at least one language, e.g. Python.
- Have the ability to influence and guide strategic decisions among both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communications skills in both written and spoken English.
- Nice to Have: Proven experience with AI security concepts and guardrails, relevant technical security certifications, or strong communication skills in both written and spoken German.
