As Head of Controlling, you will lead the Controlling function for the high-growth PRO Segment (B2B/Software & Tech-enabled Services) at HomeToGo, managing a team of three Senior Controllers. This pivotal role drives financial performance, strategic decision-making, and operational excellence for a key part of the business. You will act as the primary finance business partner to the PRO Segment leadership, providing insightful financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
With your team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting processes specifically for all entities of our PRO segment. With these deep insights into the economic development of the HomeToGo Group, you can play a decisive role in influencing and guiding the achievement of our goals and supporting the decision-making process.
With your collaborative, supportive approach and analytical mindset, you will work closely with our Accounting team on monthly closings and reporting.
How you’ll add value
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Senior Controllers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accuracy.
- Establish a business partnering process with all Leads and Managing Directors of the PRO Segment contributing businesses
- Establish controlling processes with our subsidiaries and expand their integration into the HomeToGo Group
- Introduce new controlling processes (e.g. cost center reporting) and support the introduction of SAP
- Support the regular preparation of forecasts and provide recommendations for control and the associated potential and risks
- Contribute to the annual budget preparation process and help prepare our annual financial statements
- Drive improvements in existing processes related to the monthly financial statements
You’ll be successful in this role if you
- Have at least 7 years of relevant professional experience in financial planning and controlling, including at least 2 years of team leadership experience
- Bring proven experience in working effectively with a wide range of contacts within the organization and various areas of responsibility.
- Are highly analytical and possess strong reporting skills
- Are willing to travel to our subsidiaries
- Apply a structured and results-oriented approach reduce complexity
- Communicate fluently in written and spoken English; German is a strong plus
- Bring experience with SAP and/or Lucanet (a definite plus)
