About the Role
At Hinge Health, software engineers work in small, cross-functional teams focused on different stages of the user journey. As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll build and maintain secure, scalable services and expose clear, well-tested APIs to power intuitive client applications. You’ll contribute end-to-end solutions, proactively address scaling challenges, and uphold high engineering standards through thoughtful code reviews. Engineers at Hinge Health balance feature development with paying down tech debt, exploring new technical approaches, and ensuring the reliability of our live systems.

The Rewards and Incentives team develops high-impact, user-facing features in a core business area. We collaborate closely with product and design to run experiments, build new capabilities, and ensure strong app performance and stability. Our work spans React Native and backend-for-frontend services, integrating with third-party tools like A/B testing platforms to deliver seamless experiences across all devices.

We embrace a DevOps mindset with continuous deployment and take pride in owning our code in production.Our systems are built with React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, GraphQL, Docker, Rails, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Apollo, and Redux. We follow a trunk-based CI/CD workflow and adhere to the highest standards in healthcare compliance, including HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and CCPA.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
• 2+ years of full time professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience React

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building user facing features

• Experience working on a development team of 5+ engineers

• Experience with mobile UI development in React Native

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $121,600 - $182,400.
