About the Role
Hinge Health’s R&D People Business Partner (PBP) team is seeking an Associate People Business Partner to help drive employee engagement, talent development, and a thriving organizational culture. In this role, you will support first-level R&D leaders on key aspects of the employee lifecycle and play a pivotal role in implementing people programs within your client group. You will also lead project management efforts across the R&D PBP team to enhance consistency and efficiency in critical areas such as performance reviews, employee relations, engagement surveys, and internal policies and processes. Additionally, you will analyze people-related data, identify key insights, and contribute to strategic discussions during quarterly business reviews (QBRs).

What You’ll Accomplish
Client Partnership & Advisory: Build and maintain strong relationships with first-level R&D leaders. Act as a trusted advisor on talent management and employee lifecycle topics. Implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and improve team effectiveness.
Employee Relations & Performance Management: Guide managers on performance improvement, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations. Support and execute performance review cycles to drive a high-performing workforce.
Project Management: Lead the execution of key people programs within the R&D PBP team, including performance reviews, employee surveys, ensuring smooth implementation of people-related initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational culture.
Compliance & Policy Implementation: Regularly review and update HR policies to align with legal requirements and industry best practices Provide guidance on internal policies and processes to maintain a fair and compliant workplace.
Data-Driven Insights: Use data and analytics to inform people strategies and decision-making via quarterly QBRs. Analyze employee engagement trends to drive meaningful improvements. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver data-backed HR solutions.
Hinge Health Hybrid Model
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in people business partner role
- Experience with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Experience with HRIS systems and data management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and regulations
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation
This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $116,000-$174,000.
