The work
As a full-stack engineer, you'll drive end-to-end development across our technology stack. You'll create Elixir microservices backed by Postgres, Redis, and DynamoDB, while also building React front-ends. Our services run on Kubernetes in Docker containers.
Working in self-reliant product teams, you'll contribute to diverse projects throughout the entire development lifecycle. This role is perfect for those passionate about both server-side and client-side technologies, eager to craft cohesive, full-stack solutions.
The team’s setup
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Platform AI Group. Becoming a valued member of a team that focuses on Glia’s developments in AI. Using Amazon Bedrock and different models, to provide valuable features to our customers using the advances in LLMs and AI in general.
Our team is distributed across Estonia (Tartu, Tallinn) operating in the Eastern European time zone (EET/EEST).

Note: We are constantly evolving our tech stack to ensure the usage of the right tools for specific needs, and you will be part of the process of choosing new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Execute full-stack development projects
- Develop, and maintain Elixir and Ruby services. Also front-end in React
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature definition, design, and delivery
- Propose product enhancements based on a strong understanding of our offerings
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness. Participate in on-call
- Troubleshoot software issues
- Implement and improve code quality, organization, and automation best practices
- Develop unit and UI tests for robust, scalable solutions
Candidate requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software development experience from a leading fast-paced company
- Attitude: Consistent wish to take ownership and get things done well
- Learning: A wish to learn quickly any skills missing
- Experienced in building and deploying scalable backend microservices and RESTful APIs on cloud platforms like AWS
- Communication: Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development
- Database Systems: Knowledge of Postgres and/or DynamoDB databases
- Knowledge of continuous integration, deployment, and delivery practices
- Security: Understanding of web security principles and a commitment to building secure systems
Nice to have requirements
- Experience with Elixir and/or Ruby
- Experience with event-driven architecture
