We are looking for a Lead in Operational Risk Management Lead to support the development and execution of risk management strategies. This role will focus on managing operational risk assessments, identifying risk exposures, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for driving risk identification and analysis across various business units while collaborating with teams to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for the following:
Provide inputs related to individual workplans and the overall development of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) function.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of operational risk management strategies to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Perform reviews and develop operational risk policies and standards for effective operational risk management.
Identify and assess operational risks across business units through activities like Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and Project Risk Assessments/Advisory activities.
Support business assurance management in developing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
Assist business units in identifying root causes of operational risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
Monitor operational risks and track risk treatment plans.
Ensure the implementation of Incident and Issue Management ORM tools.
Prepare reports on operational risk activity, issues, and decisions for senior management and committees.
Escalate key risks and non-compliance incidents to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
We are looking for: (Key Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Business.
At least 2+ years of experience in risk management, data, incidents, and/or controls within the financial and/or fintech industries.
Knowledge of Compliance, Data Privacy, and/or Information Security.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk exposures and implement mitigations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good understanding of process management, internal controls, and risk management practices.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity with a strong sense of accountability.
