The Product Owner is focused on looking after the execution, planning, growth and sustaining parts of the development lifecycle. They are part of the SCRUM team and can also be rebranded as “Product Backlog Manager”. He/She plays the role of the Team Protector whose mains responsibility is to keep a healthy backlog prioritized User Stories, so that the scrum team can continuously detail, develop, implement and deploy these stories.

A. Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Business Direction: Provide input to the Product Head on the strategy, business direction, and overall P&L management for the Super App Emerging Industries business.

  • Ad Hoc Tasks & Projects: Manage various ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned to support business needs.

  • Team Support: Act as an alternate for other team members when required, ensuring smooth workflow in the use case process.

  • Product Reference Materials: Champion the creation and maintenance of essential product reference materials, including product decks, process memos, contracts, trade letters, dashboards, and other product-related assets (e.g., sales kits, product training videos, etc.).

  • Partner Acquisition & Retention: Support Super App - Emerging Industries' partner acquisition and retention by addressing product inquiries, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions, and enhancing the end-to-end partner customer experience.

  • Product Enhancements: Champion product offerings' enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the product development roadmap.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help customer-facing units understand new product/process enhancements, marketing promotions, and offline payment initiatives.

B. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors:

  • Strong understanding of business objectives to drive growth.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Proficient in copywriting and clear articulation of products/campaigns to internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Experience in account and product management.

  • Ability to conduct simple to complex cost-benefit analysis.

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Project and stakeholder management skills.

C. Key Deliverables and Outputs:

  • Product Backlog Management: Effectively manage the product backlog, translating business strategy into actionable tasks for development.

  • Task Breakdown & Prioritization: Break down epics into user stories, arrange and prioritize sprints, and evaluate progress at each development stage.

  • Scrum Master Support: Act as a liaison between product and development teams, similar to a Scrum Master.

  • Key Metrics: Monitor monthly active users (MAU), revenue targets, and other relevant metrics (e.g., GTV, volume).

  • Document Management: Ensure all merchant onboarding and integration documents are complete and accurate.

  • Business Review: Regularly review business performance with the merchant account team to ensure sustainable growth.

  • Campaign Execution & Product Enhancements: Oversee campaign execution and product enhancements, ensuring success rates align with MAU and revenue targets.

  • Compliance: Ensure there are no major audit or regulatory issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong background in product or marketing management.

  • Preferably with experience in fintech, banking, eCommerce, or IT industries.

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Driven, self-managed, and capable of working independently.

  • Proficient in data analysis and comfortable handling large data sets.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Google & MS Office applications, particularly Google Slides/Powerpoint and Sheets/Excel; knowledge of SQL is a plus.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
