HR Project Lead and Systems Administrator

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Systems, the Lead, HR Systems plays a critical role in driving the People & Purpose group’s HR technology roadmap. This includes overseeing HR technology solution assessments, acquisitions, and implementations, ensuring seamless system rollout and integration, and managing cross-functional projects to align HR systems with business needs.

This role requires a strong background in business process analysis, HR technology systems, and project execution. The HR Project Lead and Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring smooth project implementation, process improvement, and system maintenance post-deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Implementation:

  • Lead and manage HR technology projects from initiation to completion, in partnership with the Sr. Manager, HR Technology, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define project scope and business requirements

  • Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training initiatives.

Business Process Analysis & Optimization:

  • Conduct process reviews and identify areas for improvement, automation, and optimization within HR workflows.

  • Document and analyze current business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for enhancement.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement improved HR processes.

  • Identify, assess, and recommend HR systems to support growth plans and optimize HR processes.

System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Support:

  • Assist in requirements gathering, gap analysis, and documentation of business needs.

  • Define and document business scenarios, user stories, and functional requirements.

  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios to validate system functionality and usability.

  • Ensure that system developments align with business needs and compliance requirements.

Post-Implementation Support & Systems Administration:

  • Manage the HR system post-rollout and serve as the HR Systems Administrator, providing high-level system administration and maintenance and working closely with HR stakeholders, internal Tech & Ops teams and third-party vendors, to resolve issues.Provide user support and training, addressing system-related inquiries and troubleshooting issues.

  • Act as the primary liaison between HR teams and third-party vendors for system escalations and enhancements.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies for HR systems.

Qualifications:

  • Highly knowledgeable in SDLC frameworks with a solid grasp of project management using waterfall and agile methodologies, respectively

  • 3+ years of experience in HR technology projects, HRIS administration, or business process analysis.

  • Experience in software evaluation projects is preferred

  • Skilled in business process review and analysis, business requirements/ user stories documentation and familiar with conduct of user acceptance testing

  • Strong understanding of HR processes, workflows, and best practices.

  • Experience with HCM systems like Workday is a plus

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to assess process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, evidenced by effective collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver outcomes within tight deadlines.
