What You'll Do

  • Event Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
  • Oversee the vision, strategy, and roadmap for all owned events, including LEX Summit (flagship user conference) and Field Marketing’s premier, bespoke events.
  • Align owned events strategy to company growth goals, including pipeline acceleration, revenue influence, customer retention, and brand leadership.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Experiential and Product Marketing to ensure events support broader experiential and product marketing priorities.
  • Establish clear success metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks for all owned events.
  • End-to-End Event Execution
  • Ensure all owned events are delivered on-time, on-budget, and with exceptional attention to detail and curation.
  • Own detailed project plans, timelines, run-of-show documents, and execution checklists for all events.
  • Maintain a very high bar for operational excellence, anticipating risks and proactively solving issues before they arise.
  • Maintain consistently high production, content, and experience standards across all owned events.
  • Budget & ROI Management
  • Own and manage the owned-events budget, ensuring fiscal discipline and accurate forecasting.
  • Track and optimize spend to ensure all events are delivered on budget.
  • Responsible for understanding and reporting on event performance and ROI.
  • Own marketing metrics tied to events, including pipeline influenced, revenue impact, engagement, and conversion.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Experiential and Product Marketing on all high-profile owned events.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Demand Gen, Creative, and Product Marketing to ensure owned events are tightly aligned to account strategy and sales acceleration goals.
  • Oversee the development of compelling agendas and content, particularly for LEX Summit.
  • Manage executive engagement and participation, ensuring leaders are prepared and supported for high-visibility moments.
  • Team Leadership & Operations
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of approximately 6–8 Event Managers and supporting roles.
  • Be a strong people leader who balances hands-on event expertise with strategic leadership.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture focused on excellence and accountability.
  • Ensure clear ownership, prioritization, and resourcing across all events.
  • Act as both a leader and practitioner, providing guidance on complex or high-risk events.
  • Innovation & Experience Design
  • Continuously evolve event formats and experiences to increase engagement and differentiation.
  • Leverage attendee insights, feedback, and industry trends to improve future events.
  • Explore new technologies and approaches to enhance in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences.

Qualifications

  • Required
  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing both large-scale conferences and smaller, high-touch events.
  • Deep marketing background with a strong understanding of events as a core marketing motion.
  • Proven experience owning marketing metrics tied to events, including pipeline and revenue influence.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple events simultaneously while staying on-time and on-budget.
  • Strong people leadership experience with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality and execution.
  • Preferred
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or technology environments.
  • Experience managing both in-person and virtual/hybrid events.
  • People management experience with demonstrated ability to build and scale teams.

  • Reporting & Location
  • Reports to: VP of Experiential and Product Marketing
  • Location: In Office in Salt Lake City, UT
  • Travel: Up to 30%, including on-site event support
  • What Success Looks Like in the First 12–18 Months
  • Successfully deliver LEX Summit with strong executive satisfaction, ticket sales goal attainment, attendee engagement and excellent survey scores, and measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Bring new ideas to the Field Marketing space and ensure a repeatable, high-performing motion that accelerates high-profile prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Establish clear event strategy, operating rhythms, and success metrics in close partnership with the VP of Experiential and Product Marketing.
  • Build, lead, and retain a high-performing team of 6–8 event professionals with clear roles, development plans, and strong engagement.
  • Consistently deliver events on-time, on-budget, and with exceptional attention to detail and curation.
  • Demonstrate clear ROI and marketing impact from owned events, including pipeline influence, revenue contribution, and customer engagement.
