As a Revenue Accounting Analyst at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are here to join our high-energy Accounting and Finance team. The Revenue Accounting Analysts plays a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue accounting, reconciliations, reporting of complex revenue streams, and audit readiness within the Accounting and Finance Department reporting to the Manager, Revenue. This position operates in a highly regulated, data-intensive environment and requires strong analytical capabilities, ownership of system logic, and deep attention to detail. The Revenue Accounting Analyst will support monthly close activities, revenue share calculations, transaction-level reconciliations, and audit readiness, while partnering cross-functionally with Data, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Product, and FP&A teams.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, process-driven, and comfortable navigating large datasets, evolving products, and new state or international launches. This role requires strong technical accounting fundamentals, analytical rigor, and the ability to independently identify and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly revenue close, including journal entries and revenue-related adjustments
- Prepare and analyze revenue share calculations across multiple revenue streams
- Maintain accurate and timely account reconciliations in compliance with internal controls
- Ensure revenue recognition complies with US GAAP and internal policies
- Partner with Data and Engineering to ensure data integrity and scalable processes
- Assist in external audit requests, including PBCs, walkthroughs, and follow-ups
- Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team building activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance
- 1-3 years of experience in revenue accounting, accounting operations, or a related finance role
- Working knowledge of US GAAP as it relates to revenue recognition and internal controls
- Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Desire to develop and continuously improve processes
- Experience handling annual audits
- Excellent proficiency in the use of spreadsheet programs and other software applications for financial analysis with strong analytical skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
The base salary range for this role is $58,000-$77,500 per year depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award.
