About the Role
The Head of Product & Growth Analytics is a senior technical leader responsible for defining and executing the analytics strategy across Fanatics Collectibles, including Fanatics Collect, Topps, and eCommerce. This role owns the analytics function for the Collectibles portfolio, translating business strategy into scalable analytics capabilities that drive growth, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
As a Head of Product & Growth Analytics, this role leads through senior individual contributors and people managers, sets technical and analytical standards, and ensures analytics investments deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Functional & Strategic Leadership
- Own the analytics strategy and roadmap across Fanatics Collectibles.
- Translate business strategy into analytics initiatives and success metrics.
- Identify high-impact opportunities where analytics drives growth and efficiency.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Lead senior ICs and at least one people manager.
- Set expectations for ownership, performance, and technical excellence.
- Build succession plans and scalable team structures.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as senior analytics partner across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Embed analytics into product and marketplace decision-making.
Operations, Quality & Governance
- Establish analytics standards, governance, and best practices.
- Ensure trusted, scalable, production-ready analytics outputs.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business value.
Technology & Investment Ownership
- Provide oversight of analytics tooling and platforms.
- Own analytics budget inputs including tools and vendors.
- Guide adoption of new analytics technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in analytics or data science.
- Minimum 3–5 years leading analytics teams, including managers.
- Experience owning analytics outcomes for complex domains.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of modern analytics stacks.
- SQL expertise; fluency in Python or R.
- Ability to set technical standards and review work.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong strategic judgment in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent executive communication and influence skills.
- Experience scaling teams in high-growth settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with eCommerce or marketplaces.
- Familiarity with agile analytics models.
- Experience in multi-brand organizations.
In New York City, the salary range for this position is $215,000-$268,750, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In Los Angeles, the salary range is $194,360-$242,950. These salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
