Project & Production Manager, Brazil - Fanatics Collectibles
Fanatics
We are seeking a Manager, Project and Production Management — LATAM to own end-to-end execution of trading card printing and manufacturing programs supporting the Latin America region. This role is a senior individual contributor with full accountability for delivery, quality, cost, and timelines, leading execution through external manufacturing and print partners.
This position is regionally focused and based in Brazil, with deep hands-on engagement across LATAM suppliers. The role does not manage direct reports; instead, it leads by directing vendors, making real-time production decisions, and acting as a regional advocate in global planning and execution discussions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable owning complex production programs, making sequencing and schedule tradeoff decisions, negotiating with vendors, and working closely with factories during live production—while influencing cross-functional partners on specifications, timelines, and cost implications.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Ownership & Execution
- Own day-to-day execution of 1–2 LATAM-focused production programs, with full accountability for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Act as the single owner responsible for ensuring programs execute to plan, adjusting sequencing and schedules as needed to protect outcomes.
- Balance cost, quality, and timeline tradeoffs in real time during active production.
Vendor Leadership & Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional print and manufacturing vendors.
- Direct vendor activities and priorities to meet program requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Lead cost discussions and negotiations with vendors, with a strong understanding of vendor-specific cost drivers (materials, labor, setup, capacity, yield).
- Hold vendors accountable through clear expectations, performance tracking, and corrective action plans.
Production Planning, Monitoring & On-Site Engagement
- Actively manage and monitor production execution, including review and interpretation of daily and weekly production reports.
- Maintain hands-on visibility into in-process production to proactively identify and resolve risks related to delays, quality, or inefficiencies.
- Engage directly with vendors during live production and print runs, including regular on-site presence at factories across Brazil and LATAM.
- Ensure production documentation, timelines, and work plans are accurate and decision-useful.
Quality & Delivery Management
- Partner closely with Quality Assurance to support in-line and post-production audits.
- Drive resolution of quality issues directly with vendors and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
- Own on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery for all assigned programs in collaboration with Logistics teams.
Cross-Functional & Regional Leadership
- Partner with Product, Pre-Production, Procurement, Project Management, and Logistics teams to execute LATAM production programs.
- Influence product and specification decisions by surfacing regional manufacturing constraints, cost implications, and feasibility tradeoffs.
- Serve as a regional advocate for LATAM, pushing back on timelines, costs, or specifications that are not executable within the region.
- Provide clear, consistent status updates on progress, risks, and decisions to global stakeholders.
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report vendor performance across cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Use production data and program outcomes to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Identify incremental process improvements within assigned programs and across the LATAM supplier base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 4–6+ years of experience in vendor management, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or production program management.
- Proven experience owning and executing complex production programs through external vendors.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and print production workflows, with the ability to quickly learn and challenge processes (deep technical press expertise not required).
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors and understand key cost drivers.
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with real decision-making authority.
- Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working with LATAM suppliers or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel 25–50% across Brazil and LATAM.
- Fluent English required; Spanish preferred
The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
