We’re looking for a talented and driven Marketplace Manager (Amazon) to join our company.

Reporting directly to the E-Commerce & Marketplace Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of our football clubs merchandise business on Amazon (vendor model), with the ambition to scale to additional marketplaces over time.

You will own the strategy, commercial planning, day-to-day trading and performance reporting on Amazon, working closely with both Amazon teams and our external agency that supports operational execution. The role requires strong coordination with Product, Buying, Finance and Operations to ensure consistent, profitable growth and aligned visibility internally and with our partners.

The right person will drive sustainable revenue and margin growth, improve availability and content quality, optimise promotional activities and advertising investment, and build a structured reporting framework that gives full visibility on performance, risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Amazon Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Own the Amazon Vendor business for our football club merchandise portfolio, acting as the main internal and external point of contact
  • Define and execute the growth strategy for Amazon, including assortment, pricing, promotion and content priorities
  • Coordinate with the Commercial & Merchandising teams to align marketplace strategy with overall commercial plans by club and category
  • Prepare long-term and annual business plans with clear revenue, margin and investment targets

Account & Relationship Management

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with Amazon (Vendor team and relevant stakeholders)
  • Work closely with the external agency to ensure flawless operational execution (content, campaigns, catalog updates, troubleshooting)
  • Lead regular business reviews with Amazon and with internal stakeholders, presenting performance, key issues and action plans
  • Negotiate or support negotiations on commercial terms, co-op, marketing contributions and joint business plans where relevant

Pricing & Promotion Planning

  • Contribute to defining the pricing strategy for Amazon in collaboration with the Commercial & Merchandising teams
  • Plan and monitor promotional activities (deals, events, campaigns), balancing volume, visibility and margin
  • Coordinate with the agency and the Marketing Manager on the Amazon Ads strategy to support key launches, clubs and categories
  • Analyse promo and media performance, optimising investment based on ROI and commercial priorities

Operations, Availability & Vendor Performance

  • Oversee Vendor Central operational health in collaboration with internal Operations and the agency (POs, shipments, chargebacks, shortages, penalties)
  • Monitor availability, buy box, OOS and stock coverage, and ensure timely actions on replenishment and supply issues
  • Identify and address root causes of operational problems (lead times, packaging, compliance, catalogue errors, etc.)
  • Support alignment between warehouse, logistics and Amazon requirements to ensure service levels and delivery standards

Reporting & Insights

  • Build and maintain a structured reporting framework for Amazon, consolidating key KPIs and insights for internal stakeholders and partners
  • Go beyond descriptive reporting and provide clear, actionable recommendations on assortment, pricing, promo, media and operations
  • Share regular performance updates with management, Merchandising, Finance and club partners (where required)
  • Identify risks and opportunities early (trends by club, category, price point, competition, demand shifts) and translate them into concrete actions

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3+ years of experience in Marketplace Management, Amazon account management or similar roles
  • Direct experience with Amazon (preferably Vendor model); experience with Seller Central and other marketplaces is a plus
  • Solid understanding of marketplace dynamics: assortment, buy box, pricing, availability, content
  • Strong analytical capability — advanced Excel/data tools and familiarity with reporting platforms
  • Strong commercial acumen and P&L awareness (revenue, margin, discounting, investment)
  • Data-driven decision-making and ability to turn insights into concrete action plans
  • Structured, pragmatic and execution-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
