The Role
Fanatics is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Senior Director, Credit Card Retail to lead retail acquisition for the Fanatics Credit Card. This leader will own the end-to-end retail strategy across Fanatics-owned stores (including stadium and in-venue retail) as well as with external retail partners.
This role is responsible for driving new cardmember growth by developing retail focused acquisition programs, designing incentives and merchandising, and ensuring operational excellence across retail channels. The Senior Director will serve as the primary commercial lead with store owners, merchants, and internal retail leadership, clearly positioning the value of the credit card program in driving higher conversion, increased sales, and deeper customer engagement.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute the retail acquisition strategy for the Fanatics Credit Card.
- Partner with Marketing and Product to test, launch, and scale new acquisition tactics, retail experiences, and program enhancements.
- Own retail channel performance, including forecasting, P&L management, and ongoing optimization.
- Define customer offers, promotions, and merchandising to maximize in-store conversion.
- Build compelling business cases and proposals for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Lead relationships with store owners, merchants, and retail operators.
- Represent the credit program at major events and retail activations.
- Lead and develop the retail credit team.
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience distributing consumer credit products (credit cards, POS financing, BNPL) through retail channels.
- Experience at fintech and/or high-growth startup environments preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of retail economics and P&L drivers.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and close partnerships.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and executive storytelling skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
This is a high-impact leadership role with direct ownership of retail credit growth across one of the most dynamic sports and retail platforms in the world.
The salary range for this position is $213,000 to $245,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
