The Sourcing Operations manager will lead the execution of sourcing operations across a network of key vendors within the Americas region, driving operational excellence, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end operational efficiency — from capacity planning and production management to purchase order execution and delivery performance. The Senior Manager oversees a diverse team of analysts, operations manager, and PO management associates , fostering a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement in line with Fanatics’ BOLD leadership behaviors.
This role partners closely with cross functional teams Sourcing, Product Development, PI, Materials, Logistics, Sustainability and other teams to ensure operational alignment with business goals, delivering consistent results in quality, cost, and speed to market across multiple vendors in the Americas.
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with the supply chain end to end and have knowledge of vertical manufacturing methodology to develop and implement monitoring and follow up systems. The Senior sourcing Operations manager will have a robust knowledge and expertise in all aspects of production management, develop and lead a high performing supply chain team. Also must be able to communicate and present to leadership levels of the Fanatics and Supplier organizations (Factory VPs and GMs, line mangers). Travel to supplier locations in various countries to hold partnership and operational performance meetings, create action plans and confirm production tracking to schedule.
How you will make an impact:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Sourcing Operations manager will be to manage all aspects of Import Purchase Orders (POs) from pre-PO issuance planning, receipt of POs, materials planning, production tracking, logistics booking through to handing over the goods over at the Port/Carrier.
Operational Leadership
• Lead daily sourcing operations for multiple vendors across the Americas region, ensuring on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery of finished goods.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of analysts, operations and planning manager, and PO associates, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback aligned with Fanatics’ values.
• Translate strategic sourcing goals into executable operational plans and measurable outcomes.
• Drive process discipline across vendor management, production tracking, and capacity planning to ensure business continuity and scalability.
Vendor & Performance Management
• Build strong partnerships with key vendors to ensure consistent adherence to Fanatics’ operational standards and continuous improvement in delivery performance.
• Oversee vendor scorecards, production dashboards, and data analytics to identify risks, delays, and opportunities for optimization.
• Support the development and implementation of corrective action plans to improve vendor efficiency, compliance, and responsiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Sourcing, Product Development, Materials, Logistics, Sustainability, and PI teams to align production readiness, delivery schedules, and materials flow.
• Collaborate with global sourcing leadership to execute regional strategies that support Fanatics’ vertical manufacturing and speed-to-market initiatives.
• Ensure proactive communication and data sharing between cross-functional stakeholders and vendor partners.
Process Improvement & Data Analytics
• Drive continuous improvement through the use of metrics, dashboards, and KPI analysis (OTD, MAPE, WMAPE, capacity utilization, etc.).
• Identify root causes of operational inefficiencies and implement solutions leveraging Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Contribute to the design and adoption of digital tools and systems that enhance data accuracy and visibility across global operations.
What you bring to the team:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, operations, or supply chain, ideally within apparel or consumer goods manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-level teams and vendor networks across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound operational decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (knowledge of FMS and Microstrategy preferable).
• Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, production flow, and capacity management.
- Proven strength in analytical thinking, strategic decision-making, and problem-solving in highly dynamic and fast-evolving environments.
- Demonstrated agility in navigating fast-paced, rapidly changing, and highly flexible environments, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English and Spanish.
