Senior Manager IT, China - Fanatics Collectibles

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Specialist/Engineer at the Senior Manager level to join our Shanghai team. As a strategic individual contributor, you will lead the design and setup of the IT infrastructure for our new Shanghai office, ensuring it meets global enterprise standards while supporting local operational needs. This role is critical in laying the technical foundation for our growing presence in the region. This is a full time role, in the designated office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end planning, deployment, and scaling of the IT infrastructure for the Shanghai office, including networking, hardware, collaboration tools, and connectivity to global systems.
• Evaluate and implement IT solutions that align with corporate standards and support future scalability.
• Act as the primary technical lead and point of contact for the Shanghai region, coordinating with HQ and regional IT teams.
• Establish IT support processes, including hardware provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, and ticket resolution workflows.
• Ensure system reliability, uptime, and data security through proactive monitoring and disaster recovery planning.
• Support the integration of enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, identity management, collaboration tools).
• Drive IT governance, compliance, and cybersecurity initiatives in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
• Oversee vendor selection and management for local IT service providers, telecom, and hardware suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure/engineering experience, ideally in regional or global roles.
• Proven experience in setting up IT systems for new office environments.
• Proficiency in enterprise networking, endpoint management, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with local Chinese networking, regulatory, and compliance considerations (e.g., ICP licensing, VPN strategy).
• Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, AWS, CISSP) preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English.
