Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a seasoned Transformation leader to own some of the highest priority and highest complexity initiatives on our organization’s relic and autograph organization organization. Relics and autographs are an important part of trading cards, bringing collectors closer to the game and their favorite athletes and create one-of-a-kind items with significant value. As our business has grown, so have our needs in this space and we are standing up a specialized warehouse team to process, store, and manage this high value and unique inventory including jerseys, bats, balls, gloves, etc. The ideal candidate can build a future state model for warehousing while simultaneously running the current one and is detail-oriented, organized, and well-versed in warehouse operations with previous experience in a leadership capacity at a warehouse and/or fulfillment center. Candidates with a passion for sports and/or trading cards will likely find themselves a strong cultural fit.
In this role, you will…
- Stand up a new warehouse operation with new processes, WMS technology, and storage systems – these systems need to ensure high inventory accuracy and security of one-of-a-kind jerseys, bats, costumes and other unique artifacts.
- Once the warehouse is stood up, you will be responsible for daily warehouse operations, oversee a few teams of associates, and managing performance in line with basic KPIs, including inventory accuracy, putaway time, and preparation time for manufacturing – ensuring we are good partners to our manufacturing operations
- Own and build the long-term vision and roadmap for the function – proactively addressing issues and building the team, processes and systems, for the future business volume and complexity
- Create a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision-making across teams and able to work with upstream relic procurement and product teams as well as downstream manufacturing teams to improve warehouse processes
- Drive best practice creation and sharing to improve operations in other teams and other regions
- Facilitate and support daily cycle counts, ensuring they are performed accurately and ensure that team accurately picks and prepares items within a warehouse location housing multiple items
- Facility and provide employee training around safety and security, product types and configurations, and quality standards for customers
- Ensure adherence to company and industry SOPs on the floor
The ideal candidate has/is:
- Experience with greenfield warehouse implementation and designing warehouse operations to support high throughput and high-quality inventory accuracy
- Experience leading change programs to support the adoption of new processes and technology in a warehouse environment
- Excellent communication skills, adept at understanding audiences and presenting complex ideas to audiences, from front-line to executives
- Has experience building teams, defining process, and operating during periods of high growth – with a proven track record of integrating teams and navigating multiple cultures
- Expert on warehouse device usage, WMS flow, and pick/pack/ship operations
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and create innovative solutions in a "blank slate" environment
- Passion for continuous improvement and iterative problem-solving
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
