The role

As an Account Executive, you’ll play a crucial role in driving new business and expanding EQL’s footprint across the US, with a strong focus on Key Accounts. You’ll be the face of EQL to some of the most influential retailers, showcasing how our platform solves the unique challenges of passion-fueled commerce and helping brands connect with their most engaged customers. This role is about building relationships, spotting opportunities, and creating momentum in a fast-moving market.

What you’ll do
  • Using your commercial instincts to uncover potential growth within complex accounts and turn those insights into qualified deals
  • Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline by executing thoughtful outreach strategies, combining targeted outbound efforts, warm introductions, social selling, and strategic follow-ups. You’ll find creative ways to connect with decision-makers - whether that’s through personalized email campaigns, LinkedIn networking, or meeting prospects at industry events, to keep opportunities moving forward
  • Conducting account-based research to identify new prospects and stay ahead of industry trends, often spotting opportunities before they become mainstream
  • Qualifying potential customers against our Ideal Customer Profile, ensuring we invest time and resources in accounts where EQL can deliver the most impact
  • Representing EQL in the market, leading customer meetings and attending conferences and events across the US
  • Keeping your pipeline organized, forecasts accurate, and reports clear and timely
  • Thriving in a fast-moving environment, adapting to a product that evolves rapidly and staying comfortable even when all the answers aren’t available.
  • Collaborating closely with marketing, customer success, product, and engineering teams to ensure key customers are informed and supported, whether through product updates, collateral, or insights.
  • Contributing your B2B sales experience to help refine processes, improve best practices, and support teammates as they tackle challenging scenarios.
  • Being comfortable selling into a wide range of retail categories, including collectibles, apparel and fashion, luxury goods, electronics, and more.

We believe you’ll succeed in this role if you have:
  • Demonstrated experience in SaaS or software sales, working with complex Enterprise or B2B accounts, with a strong focus on outbound and prospecting activities.
  • Experience with account-based sales approaches and an understanding of product-led growth go-to-market motions.
  • Solid outbound sales background – from researching and prospecting businesses, identifying new leads, and sourcing contact information to making cold introductions via email, phone, or other channels.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions with incomplete information, while collaborating with stakeholders across different time zones.
  • Experience selling into businesses where building networks with senior stakeholders and uncovering commercial opportunities is key.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and the ability to combine that insight with creative storytelling and targeted outreach to connect with customers at the right time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to earn client trust, build rapport, and foster long-term relationships.
  • Proven experience navigating complex decision-making and procurement processes, managing both internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with colleagues across engineering, product management, marketing, customer success, legal, and other departments.
  • Flexibility to meet business needs, including adjusting hours or working across regions when needed, for example supporting APAC-based leads.
