Job Description:

As the VP of AI and Data Architecture, you will set the strategic direction, technical vision, and Drive execution of the company’s AI use-cases. You will lead high-performing teams across data engineering, AI/ML research, and analytics, driving innovation in healthcare interoperability, predictive modeling, and operational intelligence. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable, ethical, and secure AI solutions that power the future of value-based care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the enterprise AI and data engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) to support analytics, AI, and data-driven applications.
• Oversee development and deployment of machine learning models for healthcare insights, risk adjustment, patient engagement, and clinical decision support.
• Implement robust data governance, privacy, and security frameworks compliant with HIPAA and HITRUST standards.
• Partner with product and innovation leaders to identify opportunities for AI commercialization and customer value creation.
• Build, mentor, and scale cross-functional teams of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists
• Act as an executive sponsor for AI ethics and responsible use initiatives across the enterprise.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and external partnerships in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), AgenticAI and federated learning.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML, or advanced analytics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep expertise in building large-scale data pipelines, MLOps infrastructure, and real-world data applications.
• Proven experience in healthcare data (claims, EMR/EHR, HIE, genomics, social determinants).
• Proficiency with modern data and AI technologies—Python, Spark, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Snowflake, Databricks, data lake architectures.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, regulatory compliance, and security requirements in healthcare.
• Demonstrated success building and leading distributed technical teams.
