Job Description:
ELLKAY is seeking a Product Owner to own and evolve LKCloudBridge (also referred to as Runtime, Bridge, or Adapter), a foundational integration layer that enables EMR connectivity and powers interoperability across the LKOpera platform.
This role is deeply execution-focused and sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Implementation. The Product Owner is responsible for translating customer, implementation, and platform needs into clear, well-structured backlog items that drive predictable, high-quality delivery of EMR adapters and bridge capabilities.
Reporting into Product Management, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in API-based, headless products, understands healthcare integration patterns, and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and quality to complex delivery environments.
LKCloudBridge supports multiple integration methods and underpins critical use cases such as scheduling, patient access, clinical data retrieval, and downstream data feeds.
Focus Areas
BASE (First 3–6 Months)
• Take ownership of the Bridge product backlog, driving predictable release execution with improved organization, documentation and quality standards
• Evaluate EMR vendor application marketplaces, certification, and validation processes to coordinate subject matter experts those workflows.
GROWTH (6–12 Months)
• Build and maintain EMR vendor relationships to expedite issue resolution and roadmap alignment.
• Assess EMR vendor APIs, interfaces, and integration options on a recurring basis to identify lower-cost or higher-efficiency alternatives or gaps in Bridge capabilities
FUTURE (12+ Months)
• Explore system and operating models that enable improved automated testing, validation, and deployment of Bridge adapters to influence how EMR integrations are developed, validated, and released at scale.
• Position LKCloudBridge as a differentiated, reliable, and extensible integration layer
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bring structure to the Bridge portfolio by organizing epics, features, and stories in alignment with the roadmap
- Improve Jira hygiene so work items support release notes, forecasting, and client-facing communication.
- Break down epics into well-defined features and Jira stories and standardize requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations
- Gather, document, and refine business and technical requirements from clients, implementation staff, and internal stakeholders
- Perform initial product analysis to assess requested changes, dependencies, and downstream impact
- Partner with Development Leads running daily standups to ensure alignment without disrupting delivery ownership
- Drive process improvements and delivery model to reduce ambiguity and delivery risk.
- Own backlog ordering to maximize customer and business value in alignment with strategic priorities
- Represent customers, implementation teams, and internal stakeholders to Development with clarity and consistency.
- Bring new Bridge capabilities forward for executive visibility and approval when required
- Work with Marketing on product launches, sales readiness, and go-to-market materials.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Product Manager in a technical environment
- Strong command of product ownership practices including backlog management, prioritization, and refinement.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured, client-appropriate requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in Agile or Kanban delivery models.
- Experience in healthcare IT, interoperability, or integration-focused products
- Comfort working with headless, API-based, or platform products.
- Strong collaboration skills with Engineering, Implementation, and Product teams.
Preferred / Differentiating Experience
- Experience with API-based interfacing or integration engines
- Exposure to EMR integrations or adapter-based architectures
- Experience improving delivery hygiene, documentation quality, or release processes
- Familiarity with Jira best practices for reporting, forecasting, and release notes
- Experience in clinical settings and clinical data
- PSPO or similar Product Owner certification
- Experience building or managing interoperability or integration platforms.
- Background in systems engineering or technically complex domains
- Experience supporting one or more customer segments: Health Systems, Labs, Payers, EMRs, Data Platforms, or Health IT Vendors
- A demonstrated ability to bring order, predictability, and quality to complex delivery environments.
