About The Role:
The Data & Analytics team at DriveWealth creates data products that provide access to relevant data and insights to help customers succeed. Our growing data is increasingly vital as downstream data outputs are leveraged by both external partners and internal teams. Data sources will come from throughout the company, so an ability to create visibility on the systems status and explain the structure is an important ability for success.
The ideal candidate is excited to shape the direction of data and analytics at DriveWealth by creating a well organized data platform that can grow as new product features and external data sources are added upstream. This role will work closely with cross-functional partners to help create a strong foundation of solid data principles while balancing competing priorities and laying the groundwork for scale.
What You'll Do:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute the roadmap for data engineering and data operations that align with business priorities and growth
- Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, data reliability engineers, and platform operators
- Collaborate with product, engineering and business stakeholders to define and support data-driven initiatives
- Establish and enforce standards and best practices for data architecture, modeling, and engineering
Data Engineering:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for batch and streaming data
- Implement robust data quality frameworks to detect anomalies, ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data across pipelines
- Champion metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging to improve discoverability, trust, and governance across the organization
Data Operations (DataOps):
- Implement and manage DataOps best practices including CI/CD for data pipelines, automation, monitoring, and incident response
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of data systems across production and development environments
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for data infrastructure issues
Governance & Compliance:
- Partner with legal, security, and compliance teams to implement data governance, access controls, and privacy standards.
- Ensure compliance with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and internal policies.
Technology & Tools:
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of modern tools and technologies across cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, AWS services, Postgres, Kafka, dbt, Airflow, etc.).
- Optimize data infrastructure costs and performance through smart architectural decisions.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 15+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data operations, or related roles
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing data engineering or DevOps teams
- Expertise with modern data stack technologies (cloud data warehouses, orchestration tools, streaming platforms)
- Experience with cloud native architecture such as AWS and Databricks
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Trading, brokerage or financial services background is preferred

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.
Please note: this role is expected to come into our office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.
