Position Overview

Be a key stakeholder in shaping the technical direction of the technology, bringing the right people with you on that journey and ensuring that it supports our overall product & tech strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an experienced leader in a full-stack and architectural capacity on complex and challenging projects, focussing on outcomes and consistently delivering against ambitious goals.
- Build and support technical products of significant complexity and provide feasibility checks on early product ideas
- Drive and record technical decision-making, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute our technical roadmap.
- Coach and mentor Engineers, help them build awareness and understanding of engineering standards and technical vision and grow others within our domain.
- Build a collaborative way of working with Product Managers to facilitate continuous technical improvements that both follow and feed into Vault’s technical strategy, striving to surface the most valuable product features to work on
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, and evaluate their potential impact on our product roadmap
- Drive process optimisation, workflow improvement, and complexity reduction through innovation, automation, and continuous improvement efforts
- Provides frequent, timely, thoughtful and detailed correct feedback using a good method.
Required Experience/Skills
- 7+ years of experience in a hands-on development role at a commercial software company
- Excellent understanding one of (or all) our technologies: NodeJS, TypeScript, React, AWS
- Experience in API and web development
- Experience of designing and delivering security solutions in an environment that embraces DevOps and IaC concepts and common technologies, with a focus on pipeline security automation (DevSecOps)
- Experience with Microservices architecture
- Strong code review, mentoring and refactoring skills
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Good mentoring skills
