This position will work hybrid, 3 days per week in our Mexico City - Reforma office.

Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to help scale accounting activities in support of growth. The successful candidate will play a key role within the GL and International Accounting teams in helping to manage the monthly close by facilitating reviews and performing key controls within the financial reporting process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Play a key role in the month-end close process by reviewing the work of the accounting staff, approving journal entries and reviewing and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Assist with fluctuation analysis and other analyses to enhance controls over financial reporting process.

  • Partner with other teams within the Finance function such as: FP&A, AP, Payroll, International accounting and Tax teams to ensure accurate and timely close.

  • Assist with external and statutory audit requests.

  • Assist with the integration of acquired entities.

  • Engage with Finance and Tax departments by providing general ledger detail and analysis for financial performance.

  • Assist with local accounting activities for the Mexico entity in addition to the Parent entity.

What You’ll Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting and minimum of seven (7) years accounting experience in combined corporate environment and public accounting firm.

  • Two years of supervisory experience within a corporate accounting team working on month-end close

  • CPA designation preferred

  • Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Mexico Financial Reporting Standards

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Ability to dig in and take ownership of responsibilities and meet critical deadlines in a past paced environment

  • Experience in the Technology/SaaS industry a significant plus

  • Experience with NetSuite an advantage

  • Written and spoken fluency in Spanish and English
