Summary:
This is a Team Lead and Staff Software Engineer position that will lead our Cloud Suite sprint teams

Reports to the Sr Director, Engineering and will work hybrid in the Mexico City office.

What You'll Do:

  • Communicate and coordinate with Customers and Support on product escalations and timelines.

  • Manage a team of Delinea software engineers - both the people and the projects that they work on.

  • Receive objective based assignments, and determine resources to meet schedules and goals.

  • Provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.

  • Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect section or multiple disciplines.

  • Make decisions that impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques.

  • Execute financials, business planning, organizational priorities and workforce.

  • This is primarily a customer communication and people management position, but the ability to contribute as a software engineer is desired.

  • Contribute technically to the Sprint team's projects as a contributing engineer through code, unit tests, and code reviews as needed.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of full-stack solutions (.NET and Angular User Interfaces) within the large-scale, cloud-native Delinea platform.

  • This is a customer-focused technical manager position that includes customer management, dev management, project management, and software development skills.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.

  • Using Scrum processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, UX, Dev) to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and contribute to architectural decisions.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to our core technologies.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working with customers on issues and escalations.

  • 2+ years of experience running an Agile Sprint team or very strong technical and personal skills.

  • 7+ years of experience as a .NET Software Engineer

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a globally-distributed team. Mastery of English language.

  • Passionate about providing high-quality solutions to our customers, on-time, and on-budget.

  • Familiarity with web-based security principles and best practices.

Bonus if You Have:

  • Experience with large codebases and unit testing -- mock frameworks, automation testing, database testing, etc.

  • Experience working with client agents used by customers across their server infrastructure

  • Experience developing in Go.

  • Strong design skills and full software development lifecycle experience required.

  • Experience developing SaaS applications on a microservices architecture that integrate with a wide variety of other SaaS vendors and enterprise systems.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure DevOps pipelines is a plus.

  • Ability to quickly read and understand both new and existing code.

  • Ability to look at the big picture, come up with great new ideas and execute those ideas by writing code to make it happen.

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)

  • Experience working with mobile app development (Android, IOS).

  • Experience with DevOps practices (e.g. continuous integration, continuous deployment)
