Deepdub.ai is an innovative startup delivering AI-powered solutions for content localization. As our Director of Finance takes maternity leave, we are seeking a highly capable and strategic professional to lead our finance operations during this critical period.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Director of Finance to temporarily lead and oversee the company’s legal and financial functions. This role involves working closely with the CEO, executive team, and external advisors to ensure smooth business operations and compliance.
This role serves as a key focal point within the company, positioned at the intersection of critical and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be highly independent, confident in making informed decisions, and possess strong expertise in financial domains.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, learns quickly, and can adapt as the company evolves.
A high level of sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism is essential, as the role involves handling complex matters and interacting with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all financial planning, reporting, and analysis
- Manage budgeting, cash flow, and recurring finance procedures
- Act as the main liaison with external financial advisors
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements (local and international)
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Support the executive team in strategic financial
- Coordinate board reporting and investor communications when needed
- Develop and implement internal financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with HR and Operations on company-wide compliance topics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- At least 6 years of experience in a leadership role in finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Previous experience in a startup or high-tech environment – strong advantage
- Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach
- Experience working with external counsel and financial advisors
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience in legal or compliance-related matters- a strong advantage
