DataSnipper, recognized as the fastest growing tech company in the Netherlands (according to Deloitte Fast50), is on an exciting growth trajectory and is looking for an Accounting Operations Specialist with an ownership mindset to join our expanding Accounting & Control team in Amsterdam.

In this role you will own the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, and own key initiatives that elevate our Accounting & Controlling operations as we scale.

The ideal candidate is eager to take on new topics for the first time with the flexible mindset required to operate successfully in a dynamic scale-up environment. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Accounting & Control.

What you will do

  • Oversee the end-to-end of the AR and AP processes, from invoicing all the way to analysis on the income statement and balance sheet.

  • Manage and resolve customer billing disputes and discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams to address and resolve collection issues, and other over-lapping processes.

  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying trends, risk, and implementing risk mitigation measures.

  • Month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of management reports.

  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the AR & AP processes.

  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new technologies to support accounts receivable/payables operations

What you bring

  • Most importantly, an innovative mindset, challenging traditional processes and keen to experiment with and implement new methods to optimize processes. Proactive in taking the initiative on these topics. Do not wait for “permission”.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable/payable or a related finance role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial records and transactions.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
