Description
We are looking for a driven and experienced Account Executive to spearhead our business development efforts in the IT Service Provider ecosystem. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on identifying, onboarding, and enabling new strategic service provider partners with established leadership in providing cybersecurity solutions to SMBs and mid-market companies.
You will be responsible for the full new customer acquisition lifecycle, from target identification, through PoC orchestration and business case development, to deal closure and planning for long-term growth. You will work closely with our global channel, product, and marketing teams to ensure seamless alignment with our Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and support continuous revenue growth.

Operating across three continents, Cynomi is leading the vCISO (virtual Chief Information Security Officer) market category with rapidly growing demand for its AI-powered vCISO platform, which empowers service providers (MSPs and MSSPs) to provide high impact cybersecurity services to their customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage and acquire new MSP and MSSP customers, with a focus on regional and national service providers
- Own the full new customer acquisition lifecycle, including territory management, prospect engagement, product demos, value delivery, PoC orchestration and negotiations
- Own and develop pipeline by combining inbound, SDR activity and self-generated opportunities
- Generate initial subscription revenue and establish the foundation for long term partner success
- Collaborate with Global Channel, Marketing and Product teams to execute effective lead generation and go to market campaigns
- Educate and guide technical and business personas through successful use of the Cynomi vCISO platform
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as an Account Executive
- 8+ years overall in cybersecurity software sales, including quota-carrying roles and at least 3 years in strategic, consultative closing with senior technical and executive stakeholders
- Experience selling cybersecurity or compliance solutions to MSP and MSSP service providers
- Deep understanding of the MSP and cybersecurity software ecosystem, key challenges, and solution landscape
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, able to work effectively with technical, business, and executive audiences
- Self-starter with a pioneer mentality and the ability to succeed in fast paced environments
- Experience leading complex sales cycles in a partner driven GTM model
- Strong technical acumen with proven ability to deliver product demonstrations to technical audiences and guiding prospects through proof of concepts
- Ability to travel up to once per month
Not a Must, But a Plus
- Prior startup experience
- Experience with peer-led coaching and/or mentorship of junior colleagues
- Training in MEDDIC or a similar sales frameworks/methodologies
- Experience selling compliance software or compliance service offerings
- Strong understanding of channel centric go to market models
- Strong network of decision makers within the MSP and MSSP ecosystem
- Ideally located in the US Southeast region to support in region events and face to face partner engagements
