Brief Summary of Role:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to lead the end to end architecture of Copado’s full stack web applications.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the end-to-end architecture of Copado’s full stack web applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across the frontend and backend.

• Design modular and maintainable architectures that integrate seamlessly between Angular frontends, Node.js microservices, and external APIs.

• Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, DevOps, and data engineering teams to define system boundaries and integration patterns.

• Define and evolve API contracts, data models, and communication flows across services.

• Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices for frontend and backend development.

• Review and approve technical designs, ensuring architectural consistency and compliance with performance, security, and scalability requirements.

• Support teams in troubleshooting complex technical issues, performance optimization, and production readiness.

• Drive DevOps and CI/CD adoption by influencing automation, quality gates, and observability practices.

• Contribute to architectural governance, technical roadmap planning, and mentorship of engineers across multiple squads.
  
  

We Are Looking for Someone With:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with at least 3 years in software architecture or technical leadership.

• Proven experience designing and building large-scale full stack web applications using Node.js (backend) and Angular (frontend).

• Strong Python and CLI experience

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, authentication/authorization models, and asynchronous communication patterns.

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and modern frontend architectures (microfrontends, component libraries, etc.).

• Solid grasp of cloud-native architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment strategies on AWS or GCP.

• Experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL), caching, and message queues (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices for continuous delivery.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work effectively across multiple cross-functional Agile teams and influence architectural decisions at the platform level.

  Nice to Have

  • Experience architecting microservice and microfrontend solutions at scale.

  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or other backend technologies for multi-stack environments.

  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

  • Understanding of data pipelines or integrations with Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
