We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who is a versatile generalist who pairs impeccable visual taste and deep systems thinking with an AI-native approach to craft. You are an unapologetic user advocate and a hands-on builder who embraces modern AI and code-assisted tools (such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, or Figma Make) to shape the future of the products in Coda.
What you'll do
Systems Thinker: Own the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery. Deconstruct complex workflows into clear, scalable systems, with the versatility to design across Coda’s entire product landscape.
Craft Expert: Bring consumer-grade aesthetic polish, typographic elegance, and spatial harmony to everything you build. Elevate every touchpoint into a beautifully crafted, intentional experience that users genuinely love interacting with.
AI-Native Prototyping: Integrate generative AI and code-assisted prototyping tools into your daily craft. Build interactive, data-rich, high-fidelity prototypes that validate concepts rapidly and bridge the gap between design and engineering.
Design Systems Architect: Help shape and scale Coda’s unified design language and design system. Establish reusable interaction patterns, tokenized components, and visual standards that ensure consistency and aesthetic excellence across all product surfaces.
Leader and Influencer: Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional leaders to shape product direction through tangible design vision. Collaborate with fellow designers, raising the collective bar for visual taste, systems thinking, and AI-accelerated execution.
What you'll bring
Proven working experience with 4+ years in Product Design or similar roles.
Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines.
Strong portfolio with clear evidence in design thinking, interaction design, and problem-solving.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and storytelling skills, especially in cross-functional.
Experience in using AI tools in building high fidelity prototypes.
Domain Exposure: Prior experience in Payments, E-commerce, Marketplace Supply, or Gaming platforms is a strong plus.
