Your Impact

The Enterprise Sales Director at CivicPlus is responsible for driving new revenue growth and expanding enterprise-level relationships across our full portfolio of digital government solutions. This leader will own strategic sales motions with large and complex local governments and state agencies, navigating multi-stakeholder decision processes and building trusted partnerships with senior officials.

As a newly established enterprise function, this role will be instrumental in building and executing CivicPlus’ enterprise sales strategy—including developing the go-to-market plan, establishing scalable processes, and leading a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of hands-on enterprise selling experience and strategic leadership, capable of shaping how CivicPlus engages the largest and most complex government clients to deliver transformative outcomes.

What You’ll Do

As a Director of Enterprise Sales you will:

  • Lead Strategic Sales: Drive complex enterprise sales across CivicPlus’ full product suite, consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Build Government Partnerships: Develop multi-level relationships with local and state agency stakeholders to guide high-value procurement processes.
  • Consultative Selling & Pipeline Management: Apply value-based methodologies to co-create solutions and maintain a clean, forecastable Salesforce pipeline.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Services to shape go-to-market strategies and account plans.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent CivicPlus at key conferences and client meetings (up to 40% travel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of high-performing enterprise software sales experience; leadership experience preferred. Proven success with deals averaging $100k+ ARR and navigating government procurement.
  • GovTech Experience: Understanding of municipal/state agency decision-making, budget cycles, procurement methods, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell using value-based methodologies (Winning by Design, MEDDICC, Challenger, etc.).
  • Strong cross-functional communicator, able to influence without authority and lead virtual teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% (nationwide).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, Public Administration, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Estimated Salary Grade Range: $119,100 - $181,100
    • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
  • Potential Variable Pay: Based on set quotas
