Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Participate in end-to-end investigations of predicted scheme fees, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time under the guidance of senior team members and manager.
Contribute to regular working groups by preparing data, taking notes on bulletin requirements, and assisting in the identification of root causes for fee discrepancies.
Maintain transparent communication regarding task progress and project timelines to ensure stakeholder expectations are met.
Demonstrate strong personal organization and a proactive attitude, taking ownership of assigned sub-tasks within larger scheme fee investigation projects.
Contribute to the creation of impactful reporting metrics and dashboards.
Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, exhibiting a satisfactory degree of agility and adaptability to successfully deliver through deadlines.
Help compile data-backed findings for presentations to leadership, ensuring information is accurate and formatted correctly for strategic review.
Provide operational feedback and observations from daily tasks to help inform the team's long-term roadmap and process improvements.
Build a foundational knowledge of the global payments landscape, tracking regulatory updates and card scheme shifts to understand their impact on the business.
Actively participate in building a positive culture, share knowledge with peers, and maintain a high level of engagement and accountability.
Develop and maintain simple working instructions.
Qualifications
0-2 years of experience in a financial, analytical, or high-volume transaction environment. A strong interest in the payments industry and card scheme pricing is essential.
Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a natural curiosity to understand "the why" behind the data.
Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with remote colleagues.
Attention to detail to ensure 100% accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to meet deadlines in an evolving environment.
Willingness to take the initiative and continuously learn
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
Fluency in English, and superb communication skills at all levels
Knowledge of Interchange and Scheme Fees, Card Schemes and Payments Processing will be an advantage
