Company Description
We’re Checkout.com – you might not know our name, but companies like eBay, ASOS, Klarna, Uber Eats, and Sony do. That moment when you check out online? We make it happen.
Checkout.com is where the world checks out. Our global network powers billions of transactions every year, making money move without making a fuss. We spent years perfecting a service most people will never notice. Because when digital payments just work, businesses grow, customers stay, and no one stops to think about why.
With 19 offices spanning six continents, we feel at home everywhere – but London is our HQ. Wherever our people work their magic, they’re fast-moving, performance-obsessed, and driven by being better every day. Ideal. Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.
Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Associate, Strategic Pricing to join our London team.
You will help build and scale our pricing capabilities globally through robust financial and quantitative modelling. Working closely with Product, Finance, Commercial, Strategy, and Operations, you’ll build the models that drive our pricing strategy across our entire product suite.
What you'll be doing:
Design, build, and maintain dynamic pricing models and frameworks for the Checkout.com product suite, using cost-plus, value-based, and algorithmic methodologies.
Build financial models to forecast product costs, margins, and profitability, running sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to test different pricing strategies.
Extract and model internal and external data to build pricing benchmarks, using these insights to calibrate and improve our pricing framework.
Build tracking models to analyse how our pricing frameworks perform in the real world, comparing projected model outcomes against actual commercial results.
Build models to quantify competitor pricing and regional market dynamics, using the data to optimise our regional rate cards.
Translate complex modelling into clear, actionable pricing proposals and present findings to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
Work with the commercial and marketing teams to turn model outputs into clear pricing collateral for our go-to-market teams.
About you:
Proven background in pricing modelling, financial modelling, or quantitative analytics, ideally at a payment processor, Card Scheme, issuing bank, or high-growth fintech.
Strong financial modelling abilities (Advanced Excel is mandatory) with a track record of building scalable, reliable commercial models from scratch.
Strong analytical and research skills. Proficiency in data modelling using SQL and BI tools is highly preferred, and Python or R experience is a bonus.
Proactive and comfortable taking full ownership of complex modelling projects from concept to launch.
Able to build strong working relationships with partners across Finance, Product, and Sales.
Able to translate complex quantitative models into straightforward narratives for stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
