CR BillMax is looking for an experienced ABA Insurance & Billing Specialist who will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits and securing prior authorizations for organizations delivering ABA therapy and related services through the CentralReach platform. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of insurance policies, strong communication skills, and experience in medical billing and authorizations.
This position is hybrid in either Ft. Lauderdale, FL or Holmdel, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Billing & Invoicing:
- Generate and send patient invoices for copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
- Process patient payments and assist with payment plans when necessary.
- Address patient billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Communication & Compliance:
- Engage with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance portals, payer policies, and CentralReach workflows.
- Follow standardized workflows to support billing and revenue cycle processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Insurance Verification & Benefits Coordination:
- Verify insurance benefits and coverage for ABA therapy and ancillary services.
- Accurately document all verification details, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts.
- Communicate coverage details and authorization requirements to providers.
- Prior Authorizations:
- Obtain and track prior authorizations for ABA and ancillary services.
- Follow up with insurance companies to expedite delays and resolve authorization issues.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in insurance verification and authorization (ABA, Speech, OT, PT experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of insurance processes and revenue cycle management.
- Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Confident and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ABA billing and revenue cycle management is a plus.
