Location: This is a remote position; however, the role requires the candidate to be based in Mumbai.
Role in a nutshell:
As part of the Learning & Development team , the Learning Consultant will be the lead architect and program manager for the organization’s Leadership and People Management development portfolio. This role is responsible for the strategic design, vendor management, and operational excellence of programs that build a robust pipeline of "Manager of Managers" and Executive-ready talent.
Unlike a core facilitation role, this position focuses on consulting with business leaders, managing high-value external partnerships, and ensuring the scalability and impact of leadership interventions across the enterprise.
This Job Description is tailored for a senior professional based in Mumbai (Remote), reporting into the Director HR Center of Excellence (COE). The focus is on strategic program management, vendor governance, and training co-facilitation role.
Duration: 12-Month Initial Contract (Potential for extension up to 18 months).
Desired experience:
Experience: 10–12 years in HR/L&D, with at least 7 years dedicated to managing and owning leadership development programs for mid-to-senior management.
Education: MBA in HR, Master’s in Organizational Development (OD), or Industrial-Psychology.
Program Management: Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and external vendors.
Location: Mumbai-based. The role is remote, but the candidate must be located in Mumbai for proximity to the regional business hubs.
Vendor Savvy: Strong experience in sourcing and managing high-value contracts with leadership training boutiques and executive coaches.
Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management), ICF Coaching certification, or certifications in assessment tools (Hogan, Harrison, MBTI, etc.).
Key Competencies for the COE
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see how a single program fits into the broader 3-5 year talent strategy.
Operational Rigor: Meticulous attention to detail in program logistics, communications, and budget tracking.
Influencing Skills: Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and gain buy-in from senior leaders without direct authority.
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using data to tell a story and justify L&D spend to the COE Director.
What will you do ?
1. Strategic Program Management (Learning Excellence)
Portfolio Design: Define the end-to-end learning journey for manager & leadership tiers, ensuring alignment with the business goals.
Roadmap Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of manager & leadership programs—from initial needs analysis and program architecture to deployment and post-program evaluation.
Scalability: Build "plug-and-play" frameworks that can be deployed across different business units while maintaining a consistent leadership language.
2. Stakeholder Consulting & Business Alignment
Internal Consultancy: Act as the primary L&D consultant to the Director, HR COE and Business HRBPs to identify leadership gaps.
Executive Presence: Interface with senior business leaders to align program outcomes with business-critical KPIs (e.g., succession readiness, attrition reduction, and leadership NPS).
3. Strategic Vendor & Partner Management
Ecosystem Management: Identify and manage relationships with global/local executive education partners, coaching firms, and digital content providers.
Quality Governance: Set the standard for external facilitators and content creators; conduct regular audits to ensure delivery meets the high standards of the COE.
Negotiation & Budgeting: Co- Manage the leadership development budget, ensuring cost-efficiencies and high ROI through rigorous vendor selection and contract management.
4. Impact Assessment & Data Analytics
Measurement Framework: Implement evaluation models (e.g., Level 3 & 4) to measure behavioral change and business impact.
Reporting: Create and present executive-level dashboards for the COE leadership, highlighting program health, participant progress, and future talent readiness.
5. Digital Learning & Innovation
L&D Tech Integration: Work with the HRIS/LMS teams to ensure leadership programs are seamlessly delivered via digital platforms, focusing on high-engagement, hybrid learning models.
Best Practices: Stay at the forefront of global leadership trends, integrating concepts like Human-Centric Leadership, AI in Management, and Emotional Intelligence into the program strategy.
