Your mission
We are building a new strategic pillar to monetize BlaBlaCar’s global audience. With a focus on long-term scalability, we’ve been integrating programmatic advertising, direct brand deals, and affiliate partnerships to build a sustainable, high-growth revenue stream.
We’re looking for an Audience Monetization Manager to own and scale this practice from the ground up. You will define the strategy and roadmap, arbitrate among levers and maximize revenue by leveraging high-intent moments across the user journey. This is a rare "0 to 1" opportunity that combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution across diverse global markets.This role combines strategic ownership and hands-on execution, from defining the roadmap and coordinating stakeholders to running tests, monitoring performance and scaling successful initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
Define and own the overall monetization strategy across different pillars such as programmatic ads, direct deals with brands or affiliates, and adapted to different geographies
Balance short-term revenue performance with long-term user experience and monetization sustainability
Drive prioritization and trade-offs between monetization levers (shared inventory)
Maximize revenue while preserving user experience and core product KPIs
Act as the single owner and main point of contact for all stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data and Marketing
Contribute to product and tech roadmap to support monetization initiatives
Lead end-to-end execution with Product, Engineering, Data and Marketing teams
Define roadmap, and coordinate developments and delivery
- Monitor monetization performance and identify optimization opportunities
Contribute to improving overall monetization yield across channels and placements
Run A/B tests and iterate on formats, placements and strategies
Manage relationships with ad networks (e.g. AdMob) and partners
- Ensure proper tracking, reporting and revenue follow-up
Define the strategy and build the partnership & Direct Deals playbook
Identify, negotiate and manage partnerships (Direct Deals, Affiliates)
Build and scale a pipeline of monetization opportunities
Ensure consistency between partnerships and product experience
Assess and challenge the current monetization stack (e.g. AdMob) and define the most relevant tools and setup for long-term scalability with Product and Tech teams
Define formats, placements and monetization logic
Monitor performance, run tests and continuously optimize

Your Qualifications
+5 years of experience in growth, monetization, partnerships or similar roles
Strong partnership, business development or affiliates management skills
Strong business acumen and ability to drive revenue-generating initiatives
Strong project management skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives
Analytical mindset (A/B testing, performance tracking)
Experience working with Product and Tech teams
Experience with mobile apps, AdMob or programmatic advertising
