This role is part of theCentral Merchant platfrom & Growth vertical. The overall objective of this vertical is to identify and operationalize new products/ services/ initiatives that lead to growth in merchant platform and create new revenue streams.
Functional Expertise
- Drive business growth and measure success based on increased value/volume and market share for the UPI business (merchant acquiring)
- Identify and conceptualize new products/ services that help monetize (or grow) existing merchant network
- Lead implementation of the new initiatives, working closely with Product and other teams
- Own the numbers (user and revenue growth) for the implemented initiatives
- Devise and execute GTM strategies for these new initiatives
- Drive effective performance marketing campaigns in coordination with the Marketing team to optimize the user funnel and to achieve defined growth metrics
- Lead implementation of Central services, that impact multiple products and user segments across the organization’s network
- Drive enhancements in Merchant app (through Product) to improve engagement and retention
- Benchmark competition and evaluate different strategies, to incorporate the most effective ones for our revenue growth and impact
- Build out effective processes to quickly get market feedback, do pilots and course correct as needed
- Assess growth opportunities through a robust model factoring in opportunity size, right to win, implementation complexity, etc.
Collaboration
- Coordinate between and work closely with Product, Sales, Operations, Tech, Marketing, and Data Science team to implement the defined products & services, and drive GTM and growth
- Work closely with Product team to implement new product features and use cases
- Work closely with Payments BU to facilitate payment product-level changes and ensure alignment with NPCI policies and guidelines
- Collaborate with Marketing team to design & run communications and campaigns targeting specific cohorts and objectives
To succeed in the role
Impact
- This role drives growth of overall UPI (merchant acquiring) business, targeting increase in market share, improvements in product (including aligned with industry standards), and driving evolving needs and satisfaction of merchants
- Launch new products and realise growth through monetization of existing network and adding new segments
- Enhance BharatPe’s market presence among target segments
Qualification & Experience (type & industry)
- Graduate or Post-Graduate degree; MBA preferred from a Tier 1 College
- 8+ years of experience; with recent stints in a Growth/ Project management/ Product role with a strong Business aspect
- Ideal profile would be a combination of prior Consulting/Strategy experience plus experience in a startup/growth setup
- Prior experience in a Fintech is a strong plus
Skills & know-how
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management & project management skills
- Good communication, with ability to synthesize and present to leadership/ larger team
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skill
- Data Science and SQL is a plus
