So, what will you be doing?
Technical Support & Development
- Ownership of packaging for your assigned product categories.
- Partner with NPD and Studio teams from the early stages of product development to build quality and functionality into packaging design for your assigned product categories.
- Creation and maintenance of packaging specifications.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure packaging meets Beauty Pie standards for quality, performance, and aesthetics.
- Own packaging testing, filling and line trials, gathering feedback and ensuring smooth scale-up to production, for your assigned product categories.
- Support the rollout and maintenance of packaging standards, testing protocols, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot packaging-related issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis, and support implementation of CAPA where needed.
- Maintain the packaging database to ensure all specifications and test data are up to date and accessible.
Compliance & Sustainability
- Support the delivery of Beauty Pie’s packaging compliance roadmap and ensure ongoing alignment with relevant regulations.
- Maintain and input accurate data into packaging systems to track sustainability and compliance targets.
- Own the preparation and submission of packaging waste data.
- Help identify opportunities to improve recyclability, reduce environmental impact, and enhance circularity across packaging formats.
- Monitor regulatory and industry updates, flagging relevant changes to the team.
Industry & Innovation
- Research and share insights on packaging trends, materials, and technologies relevant to Beauty Pie’s categories.
- Build positive working relationships with packaging suppliers and manufacturers to stay informed on new developments and innovations.
- Support the evaluation of new materials, formats, and manufacturing techniques to improve quality and sustainability.

- Experience in a packaging technologist or similar role, ideally within beauty, personal care, or FMCG.
- Technical understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and potential failure modes.
- Strong knowledge of packaging testing, validation and design.
- Strong attention to detail, organised and confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Great communication and collaboration skills – comfortable working cross-functionally with NPD, Quality, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience introducing innovative packaging concepts and driving them through to execution.
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and shows initiative.
- Up to date with sustainability and regulatory trends within the packaging industry.
- Preferably Institute of Packaging qualified/ equivalent.
- Some domestic and international travel will be required.
