Role Summary: We are seeking a proactive and strategic HR Generalist to lead our employee experience adn business operations in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in driving our local HR strategy, ensuring compliance, and fostering a strong, cohesive culture that connects our Bangalore team to the global Ayar Labs organization. You will partner closely with our Site Lead to align on OKRs, org design, and operational excellence. Core Responsibilities: - Talent Acquisition: Lead local hiring initiatives to attract top-tier talent, ensuring alignment with global standards and local needs.
- Employee Experience: Cultivate a vibrant and inclusive workplace, focusing on retention, engagement, and overall employee satisfaction.
- HR Operations and Compliance for India: Manage all on-the-ground HR operations, ensuring full compliance with local Indian labor laws and regulations.
- Employee Relations: Proactively manage employee relations and resolve complex employee issues with empathy and discretion.
- Culture & Connectivity: Serve as a champion of Ayar Labs' global culture, ensuring seamless connectivity and alignment between the Bangalore site and our global teams.
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a strong partner to HR peers globally to harmonize HR practices, and ensure consistent employee experience, retention, and hiring standards.
- Site Leadership & Execution: Partner with the Bangalore Site Lead to ensure the team is on target for OKRs, providing expertise on org design, company connectivity, and day-to-day execution.
AI Transformation, Automation & HR Operations - First-Mover AI Implementation: Act as the primary architect for integrating generative AI, agentic workflows, and machine learning models into core People Operations infrastructure.
- Workflow Efficiency Engineering: Automate data collection, validation, and submission for complex statutory filings (e.g., local Department of Labor wage filings, equity allocations, and benefit enrollment patterns) to minimize manual overhead and eradicate operational latency.
- Predictive Analytics & Intelligence: Deploy AI-driven predictive modeling platforms to flag attrition vectors, model complex salary compression scenarios, project financial outcomes of equity pool refreshes, and provide automated, bespoke compensation planning advice to line managers.
Key Leadership Competencies - Analytical Mastery: Deeply analytical and able to ensure execution of local compensation and benefits in partnership with the Total Rewards leader. Keep a strong focus on key HR and Operational metrics and set strategy.

Required Qualifications - Years of Experience: 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience across HR disciplines.
- Corporate Life-Cycle Exposure: Proven track record of managing through major inflection points, spanning venture-backed private organizations, pre-IPO transitions, and active public markets governed by rigorous SEC and SOX compliance rules.
- AI & Technology Fluency: Demonstrable, hands-on experience experimenting with or implementing AI automation, advanced enterprise HCM data architectures (e.g., Bamboo, Paycor, Radford/Aon databases), and business intelligence visualization suites.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
