Content & Editorial Systems Lead
Atlan
Data is at the core of modern business, yet many teams struggle with its overwhelming volume and complexity. At Atlan, we’re changing that. As the world’s first active metadata platform, we help organisations transform data chaos into clarity and seamless collaboration.
From Fortune 500 leaders to hyper-growth startups, from automotive innovators redefining mobility to healthcare organisations saving lives, and from Wall Street powerhouses to Silicon Valley trailblazers — we empower ambitious teams across industries to unlock the full potential of their data.
Recognised as leaders by Gartner and Forrester and backed by Insight Partners, Atlan is at the forefront of reimagining how humans and data work together. Joining us means becoming part of a movement to shape a future where data drives extraordinary outcomes.
Why is this role important for us?
At Atlan, our mission is to help the humans of data do their life's best work. That mission depends on our ability to tell clear, resonant stories rooted in first-party insight — from our customers, field teams, founders, and product thinkers. But powerful ideas alone aren't enough. They need structure, precision, and repeatability to drive impact across teams and channels.
We're looking for a systems-minded editorial lead to build the engine behind Atlan’s most strategic narratives. In this role, you won’t just write. You’ll design the editorial workflows, templates, and tools that turn raw input into content that informs, converts, and compounds. Your work will ensure that Atlan’s best stories move fast, stay sharp, and show up where they matter most.
Your mission
-
Structure storytelling from first-party sources:
Create original, long-form editorial content based on inputs like customer interviews, founder perspectives, research, and transcripts.
Develop content formats and modular structures that make it easier to turn raw ideas into clear, reusable narratives.
Build storytelling templates that make it easy for teams to contribute and reuse content consistently.
Edit contributions from across teams to maintain editorial clarity, structure, and brand voice.
-
Operationalize AI-native editorial workflows:
Use tools like TOFU, ChatGPT, and Claude to accelerate first drafts, summarize interviews, and support content repackaging.
Build prompt templates, QA checklists, and internal guidance to ensure responsible and high-quality use of AI in editorial work.
Collaborate with writers and marketers to make AI-enhanced workflows seamless and practical.
-
Own the editorial system:
Manage a unified editorial calendar that spans product launches, campaigns, customer stories, and internal initiatives.
Maintain a versioned content library organized by theme, format, and use case.
Design internal tools and collaboration processes that help teams find, reuse, and contribute to core content.
-
Lead distribution strategy and outreach:
Partner with Social, Product Marketing, and Field teams to adapt long-form stories into channel-native formats such as LinkedIn carousels or newsletters.
Identify high-leverage content opportunities and support distribution across external blogs, partner placements, and sales enablement.
Create playbooks for content reuse so that strong narratives can scale across functions and channels.
What makes you a match for us?
5 or more years in content marketing, editorial operations, journalism, or product storytelling.
Experience working with founders, customers, or subject matter experts to turn complex topics into clear content.
A strong sense of structure and repeatability across editorial systems, from calendars to templates to pipelines.
Familiarity with AI writing tools like TOFU, ChatGPT, or Claude, and an understanding of how to use them responsibly.
A mindset that blends storytelling craft with systems thinking.
Curiosity about how things work in data, business, and the world — with a habit of reading widely, writing carefully, and spotting great storytelling in the wild.
Bonus: Experience in or adjacent to modern data infrastructure, SaaS, or platforms like dbt, Snowflake, or Notion.
