Aqua is looking for a highly motivated and experienced software release engineer to join our growing team and help us to take our Engineering team to the next level. In this role, you will plan and track software releases from requirements to deployment including risk management.

This position requires excellent coordination and communication skills, as well as ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the release of software deliverables, the required resources and the release life cycle before and after release deployment
• Collaborate with Engineering team, Product Management, Customer Success, and other stakeholders on the required software deliverables.
• Track the progress and identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them.
• Lead and coordinate the quality assurance of released software.
• Collaborate with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software.
• Coordinate with Technical Writers team and DevOps on Product Documentation, Release Notes and guides for customers on the released software.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to procedures on software lifecycle and releases, best practices, and procedures.
• Make improvements in the methodologies used for software lifecycle, software implementation and communication with the customers.

Working from Aqua Hyderabad office a minimum of 4 days per week (Mon-Thu).

• Total Experience of 6+ years as a Release Engineer. Bachelors in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and release processes.
• Perform release readiness reviews, deployment dry runs, and rollback planning.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to resolve release issues.
• Maintain documentation for release processes, tools, and procedures.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) practices.
• Knowledge in software development and DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).
• Experience working in SaaS, cloud-native, or microservices environments.
• Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.
• Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system.
• Ownership mindset with a focus on reliability and quality. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
