About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager with a strong Architect mindset to lead and shape our Platform & DevOps function. This hybrid leadership-technical role combines strategic vision, hands-on expertise and team leadership to build scalable, cost-efficient and reliable infrastructure and development workflows. This role will drive cross-functional initiatives across cloud architecture, CI/CD automation, reliability engineering and FinOps practices while mentoring a team of skilled engineers and guiding architectural design at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
🔧 Strategic & Architecture Leadership
- Architect and oversee multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategies.
- Provide architectural guidance on scalable infrastructure, deployment patterns, and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product and operations teams to ensure a unified technical direction.
☁ Cloud Architecture, Optimization & FinOps
- Lead platform modernization initiatives by designing cloud-native, containerized and serverless architectures, while embedding automation across infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines and operational workflows to drive scalability, resilience and developer efficiency.
- Drive cloud cost optimization through automation, governance and resource efficiency.
- Champion FinOps practices, working closely with finance to align usage with cost accountability.
🔍 Reliability Engineering & Observability
- Design and enforce system availability, SLOs, and observability frameworks.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis and proactive reliability improvements.
- Scale monitoring and alerting infrastructure for better system health and visibility.
🚀 CI/CD Automation & Dev Productivity
- Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines to support secure and efficient code delivery.
- Champion deployment practices such as blue/green, canary and automated rollbacks.
- Improve developer experience through build tooling, automation, and governance.
👥 People & Technical Leadership
- Act as a technical mentor and trusted advisor to engineering teams, guiding them on infrastructure decisions, cloud best practices and scalable design patterns
- Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Enable team efficiency and autonomy by creating reusable frameworks, automation templates, and governance standards that accelerate delivery and ensure consistency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
- 5+ years in engineering leadership and/or architectural roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience in designing and managing cost-efficient, scalable systems and leading platform optimization.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Strong leadership, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Effective cloud cost governance and reduction in infrastructure spend.
- High platform reliability and reduced MTTR.
- Scalable deployment processes and improved developer velocity.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FinOps frameworks and large-scale cost governance.
- Background in hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
- Prior experience balancing architecture design and team leadership responsibilities.
