The primary mission of this role is to ensure seamless execution, reconciliation, and settlement of mutual fund transactions across a growing investment platform. This role requires a blend of operational leadership skills, expertise in Mutual Fund and Clearing operations, aptitude for process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead a team of mutual fund operations associates as well as work cross-functionally with key business partners in Operations, Product, Technology, and Customer Success to drive the company’s growth and strategic goals.

Your impact

  • Coach, develop, and lead the Mutual Funds Operations team by fostering a high-performance culture, providing ongoing mentorship, and ensuring team members are equipped to scale operational excellence in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Define team KPIs and SLAs, providing regular and ongoing reporting to help determine the health of the team, operation, and opportunities for ongoing enhancements.
  • Proactively recommend strategic and tactical improvements to product, workflow, oversight, and controls.
  • Maintain and expand upon a robust knowledge base repository to support the mutual fund team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for all mutual fund-related issues, including those originating from advisors, operational exceptions, or technology disruptions; ensure timely resolution through coordination with internal teams and external vendors, while adhering to appropriate compliance reporting protocols and risk management standards.
  • Supervise and review the team’s daily processing and workflows to ensure correct resolution, communication, compliance, and risks are properly addressed and documented.
  • Manage and efficiently address operational and trading errors, collaborating with essential business partners, including billing, tax, cost-basis, and product teams, to ensure comprehensive and accurate resolution of upstream and downstream issues.
  • Coordinate with product teams to define business requirements and key product deliverables.
  • Lead the oversight and governance of mutual fund attribute data and product setup while managing vendor partnerships that support the onboarding, configuration, and maintenance of mutual fund company offerings and relationships.
  • Drive operational support and data integrity for pooled investment vehicles beyond mutual funds, including registered 40 Act funds and a wide spectrum of non-registered alternative products such as REITs, private placements, and limited partnerships.
  • Adhere to all rules, regulations, and procedures that govern this role and the organization and complete audit requests as needed.
  • Awareness of Operational, Organizational, Regulatory, and Reputational Risks, and escalate to Management and Compliance as needed.

What you bring

  • Securities licenses - You studied hard and we’re excited to carry your Series 7, 24, and 63
    • Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses not required, but you must be willing to obtain licenses within 6 months
