Meet the Moment with Alteryx
We're living through a once-in-a-generation shift in how work gets done. Data, automation, and AI are quickly becoming the center of every business decision - and Alteryx is leading the transformation.
You'll be working on the challenges that sit at the heart of modern business. No matter your role, the work you do will help organizations move faster, see more clearly, and tackle questions that used to feel impossible.
If you're ready to meet the moment with innovation, curiosity, and excellence, there's a place for you here.
Some of the hardest and most important design challenges in modern SaaS aren’t the visible ones, they’re the systems that make everything else work: administration, data connectivity, identity, and control across complex environments.
We’re looking for a Product Design Manager to lead this space, shaping how Alteryx works for enterprises at scale across cloud and on-prem environments. This is where platform meets product, and where great design can unlock clarity, control, and trust for our most sophisticated customers.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on design strategy, execution, and team development, working at the core of how Alteryx delivers value through Alteryx One.
What You’ll Do
You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to define and drive the design strategy for key areas of Alteryx One spanning administrative experiences, data connectivity, and cross-environment workflows. You’ll take on complex, ambiguous problem spaces and turn them into clear, scalable experience directions that go beyond individual features and contribute to a cohesive platform.
You’ll lead design execution across multiple product areas, ensuring a high bar for quality, consistency, and usability. You’ll stay close to the work, reviewing designs in detail, guiding tradeoffs, and helping teams navigate complexity, while empowering designers to take ownership and deliver strong outcomes.
You’ll manage and grow a distributed team of designers across Prague and India, providing coaching, direction, and career development. A key part of your role will be ensuring designers are engaged early in problem definition and are set up to contribute strategically, not just execute.
You’ll also partner with design leadership, including the VP of Experience & Insights, to evolve how design operates at Alteryx, strengthening collaboration, improving ways of working, and increasing overall impact.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in product design, with a strong track record of leading complex, platform or enterprise-oriented work
- Proven experience managing and developing designers, with a focus on coaching and raising the bar
- Demonstrated ability to define design strategy and guide execution across multiple teams or product areas
- Strong systems thinking and comfort working across interconnected experiences and workflows
- Deep collaboration with Product Management and Engineering to shape direction and deliver outcomes
- High proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, and comfort with emerging AI-enabled design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Codex, or similar)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across levels and functions
- Experience working in SaaS product development, particularly in complex domains, is a strong plus
- Education: BA/BS in a related field required; advanced degree a plus
How You’ll Work
This is a leadership role focused on direction, alignment, and team success rather than hands-on production. You’ll stay deeply engaged through critique, conceptual framing, and design reviews, and may contribute to early-stage explorations where needed, but your primary impact will come from enabling the team and shaping the work at a systems level.
Find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply? At Alteryx, we support a growth mindset for our associates through all stages of their careers. If you meet some of the requirements and you share our values, we encourage you to apply. As part of our ongoing commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, we’re invested in building teams with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
