Alteryx is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our Prague teams. The team designs and implements our Cloud and Desktop based analytics application, used by our clients to create and manage complex workflows that analyze, transform and prepare their data.

Position Overview

We are expanding our engineering team as we reimagine the Alteryx Designer application, the complex UI used and loved by our customers every day. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the services and components for Alteryx Designer.

You’ll work closely with senior engineers and platform teams to deliver cloud based web solutions as well as desktop components, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure our services are built for performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance. This role offers a balance of hands-on development and collaborative problem-solving, in an environment that values craftsmanship and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain front end components and services using C#, React, Typescript and Nodejs.

  • Carry out investigations, suggesting and proving ideas using PoCs.

  • Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to ensure efficient, secure, and automated deployments.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.

  • Work closely with product managers and test engineers to ensure features are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.

  • Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and overall engineering workflows.

Required Skills

  • Experience building web applications using React, Typescript and Nodejs.

  • Solid programming experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem.

  • Hands-on experience developing backend services or microservices in a production environment.

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Understanding of RESTful API design and service integration patterns.

  • Exposure to cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. As happy working alone, in a pair or in a group to solve complex challenges.
