Alteryx is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Prague Lab Engineering team. The team designs and implements automation, infrastructure, and monitoring solutions that power our Lab Environment Infrastructure - a platform supporting diverse enterprise and data systems used for development and testing by our engineering, sales engineering, and support teams.
Position Overview
In this role, you will develop and enhance automation initiatives, design infrastructure across multi-cloud environments, and contribute your expertise in secure authentication integrations, ensuring our Lab systems remain scalable, reliable, and secure. You will also mentor peers and influence DevOps best practices across teams.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain advanced Lab environment automation for a wide range of test systems.
Lead infrastructure projects across AWS, with exposure to Azure and GCP.
Implement and manage configuration automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
Manage containerization frameworks (Docker, Docker Swarm) to ensure scalability and security.
Configure and troubleshoot advanced authentication and identity integrations (OAuth2, OIDC) with external Identity Providers such as Microsoft Entra ID or Okta.
Define and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting standards for Lab systems.
Drive continuous improvement in environment reliability, performance, and automation coverage.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure lab infrastructure aligns with evolving business needs.
Mentor junior engineers and advocate DevOps best practices within the team.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong proficiency with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
Proven experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
Advanced knowledge of containerization (Docker, Docker Swarm).
Demonstrated experience configuring authentication and identity systems (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Entra ID, Okta).
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, plus working knowledge of Azure and GCP.
Solid programming and scripting skills in Python.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Valued Skills
Experience designing secure authentication flows with external IDPs (Microsoft Entra, Okta, etc.).
Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Curiosity and proven ability to self-learn across diverse technologies (databases, enterprise applications, and emerging cloud tools).
Strong problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement orientation.
Passion for mentoring, technical leadership, and establishing DevOps standards.
