platforms, and how often we can enable self-service for our customers. This position is with a code-first team
that strives to automate all deployments and integrations that the team is tasked with. We do things the right
way – not the fastest way.
Core Platforms
• Active Directory & Entra ID – Core identity platform for user and group objects and authentication
mechanisms
• Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and M365 – Core collaboration and productivity tools
• Atlassian Jira & Confluence – Where we track our work for our Agile business process and create
documentation for our infrastructure
• Code Development – we primarily utilize Python, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell in our solutions
• GitLab – Our goal is to maintain our core infrastructure with code, and leveraging GitLab for CI/CD is a
critical skill
• Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) – Workflows and job templates, Event Driven Ansible (EDA)
• Cloud Infrastructure – AWS (primarily) / Azure / GCP
• CloudWatch – Observability, metrics, alerts, triage automation, self-service dashboards
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance Alteryx’s core identity systems, including user and group objects. This includes the
entire user object lifecycle, modern authentication integrations with SAML/OIDC, Conditional Access, and
security group automations.
• Provide thought leadership around authentication policies to ensure they follow best practices and are
secure & compliant with all major compliance requirements.
• Manage our core communication infrastructure including Microsoft Teams, Exchange, Slack, and other
email tools and ensure they adhere to best practices.
• Build and maintain code pipelines that manage automation, integrations, and deployments
• Create custom integrations between various SaaS/PaaS platforms.
• Create robust documentation for infrastructure and processes.
• Contribute to Agile sprints with an emphasis on quality and thorough documentation.
• Manage privileged access across the Alteryx landscape.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity.Required Skills & Desired Experience
• Deep understanding of authentication mechanisms and flows, with an emphasis on modern
authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, and OAUTH
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (previously Azure Active Directory) with 5+ years of
experience managing the platform in an Enterprise environment
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory with 5+ years of experience managing the platform
in an Enterprise environment
• Hands on experience with managing Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams policies and settings
with 5+ years of experience managing the platforms in an Enterprise environment
• Experience leveraging APIs to create custom integrations
• Advanced experience developing with RedHat Ansible (AAP workflows, templates, projects, Event-Driven
Ansible)
• Strong development skills and scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript with 5+ years of
experience
• Experienced with Agile methodologies and ceremonies to manage work and collaboration
• Advanced experience with GitOps with a deep understanding of pipelines, mergers, and approvals with 3+
years of experience contributing to production pipelines
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI Tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini in production pipelines to increase
efficiency and quality control coverage
Professional Qualifications and Traits
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 5+ years equivalent experience
