This mid-level role will be responsible for owning the end-to-end global benefits administration process, serving as the primary point of contact for both internal employees and external benefits partners.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of benefits administration, vendor management, compliance requirements, and employee communication strategies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys process ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about enhancing the employee experience across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Own the full global benefits administration process, including health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary benefit programs.
- Manage the employee lifecycle related to benefits: onboarding, changes in status, and offboarding.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into HRIS and vendor systems.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for external benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants.
- Coordinate renewals, negotiations, and implementation of new benefit offerings.
- Monitor service levels and escalate issues as needed to ensure employees receive timely support.
Employee Support & Communication
- Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits policies, programs, and claims.
- Create and deliver clear, employee-friendly communication materials and FAQs.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to provide education sessions and open enrollment support.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with global, federal, and local benefits-related laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, GDPR, country-specific requirements).
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for audits, filings, and leadership review.
- Partner with payroll to ensure seamless benefits deductions and accurate processing.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze benefits utilization data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend innovative, cost-effective programs to enhance the employee experience.
- Support special HR projects related to total rewards and employee wellbeing.
